The Rotary motto Service Above Self conveys the humanitarian spirit of the organization’s more than 1.2 million members. Strong fellowship among Rotarians and meaningful community and international service projects characterize Rotary worldwide. Member Dr. Steve Esposito, Dentist, has put this motto into action.

Placing Service Above Self in Redwood City since 1946, our dedicated membership has helped impact many lives, both here in Redwood City and around the world. We are fundamentally a leadership organization dedicated to building personal relationships between members, improving the lives of our members and those we serve and creating positive change in the world.

Each club undertakes service projects to improve the lives of others. From its inception Rotary found that providing service strengthened the bonds of friendship in the club. The reverse is also true: out of fellowship comes the desire and capacity to carry out acts of The Tacoma South Rotary Club has been serving our communities with a focus of service to struggling youth and their families since 1994. LOCALLY RESPONSIVE Over the past 25 years, Tacoma South Rotary has awarded many dollars in grants to organizations addressing homelessness, youth and higher education throughout the south sound.
